Q: Where are you from?

A:
I’m from Iran, the Northern Region in a city named Anzali by the Caspian Sea.

A:
Freedom.

Q: How long have you been here?

A:
I moved to Canada May 1st 2003.

Q: What do you love about sewing?

A:
I have always loved it, because my mother owned a tailoring custom fashion boutique. I would make my own clothing for dolls and then I started to make presents for friends, pencil cases etc and in Grade 9 I made my own backpack. My mother never bought me a backpack or a purse, I always made my own.

Q: What do you wish people knew about sewing or design?

A:
It’s not just about sewing, it’s about comfort and body types and about mastering the skill of pattern making. Patterns are so important, because that allows for careful construction. If you don’t take care of all the details the clothing won’t work. Patterns require patience.

Q: What do you want in the future?

A:
I’ve always dreamed of my own fashion clothing business. I want to start my own business.

A:
I want to do something to help everyone. I want to show my art to everyone and when my customers are happy I am happy too!
